ARTIST STATEMENT:

   The pace of seeing what is in front of you and what the future holds is intriguing to think about. I find joy in the natural world and the changes that happen over time. When I create, I tend to take inspiration from the natural process of life in the outside world and what that personally means to me. Moreover, abstraction holds a special place in my heart as an artist because it makes me interpret these forms and experiences in a way that is uniquely mine.

   Process plays a big part in the making of my art as one mark, color, line, or formation leads me to the next artistic choice that I make in a piece. These decisions in my process exemplify the feelings and moods that I have a familiarity with. The idea of a surrealist space within the realm of abstraction makes these worlds collide in my eyes and become one in the artwork.

Standing Rock Cultural Arts is a non profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization.  We invite and welcome sponsors to help cover expenses for our art and educational activities.   Donations are tax deductible.
