ARTIST STATEMENTS/BIOS:

JIM ZELLER  AKA JPZKO (James Paul Zeller Kent Ohio)

Very amateur photographer.  Most of 73 years residing in Kent Ohio. University of Akron graduate.  Environmental Science.  Retired construction sales/mgt.  Musician.  Handyman.  

So, He takes a few pics, edits some til he likes em.  Saves the ones he likes the best and prints some.   He noticed that many resemble Impressionistic Art (Water Lilies inspired the thought).  So he edits others to their (his) sweet spot.

SARAH JANE HORVATH

Kent, Ohio artist and part-time drawing faculty at the Kent State University School of Art.  Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Miami University. Master of Fine Arts degree from Kent State University. Day job : Senior Regional Business Office Manager for Prestige Healthcare.

Branches works explore a variety of "branch" concepts : from trees, rivers, and lightning to the human lymphatic system and neural synapses. This project is a bit of a departure from previous themes by this artist and has been experimental in process, materials, and approach. Through trials of new media and actions, she worked from a place of curiosity and adventure within the Branches theme, and the works displayed are the result of this exploratory studio practice.
