DIA DE LOS MUERTOS
MASK MAKING WORKSHOP

TUESDAYS,  STARTING OCTOBER 8.  3 CLASSES

-October 8, 15, &22.  6:30-8:00pm

-Class culminates in a Dia De Los Muertos celebration on October 26^h., 2024.  Participants are invited to parade to the Cuyahoga River from the SRCA Gallery at 8:30pm.

Description:  

KATHRYN LAWSON BIO:

     Kathryn Lawson is a fiber artist and professional costume and fashion designer from Akron, Ohio.  She is a former Kent State University School of Fashion Design instructor and owns a sustainable clothing company, Lady Kate's Fashion Refinery.

   Kathryn began sewing at the early age of 4 and went on to earn degrees in Fashion Merchandising, Clothing Textiles and Interiors and Theatre Arts.  In addition to professional theatre and film work, she has done antiques textile restoration and reproductions for museums.  She has also created custom stage clothes for performers worldwide, and prototype design for several well-known companies.

   The SRCA Gallery is conveniently located just  3 blocks north of the intersection of Main and Water Streets in Kent, Ohio, with free street parking on both sides of the street. Seating is limited, so arrive early for the best seats.
