Kent Watercolor Artist, Joanne Schempp, will once again be offering
beginning & intermediate watercolor classes starting Sunday, September 21.
Joanne has been painting in the traditional watercolor style since
childhood. She paints fantasy using the many techniques specific to
watercolor. Over the years, her work has been displayed locally at “Art in
the Park” and various city fairs. You may recognize her style by the use of
beautiful candy colors, luminous layering and attention to detail. Her art
is widely distributed on merchandising and licensing lines and originals
found in many personal collections worldwide.
Three separate six week classes will be offered for Children, Beginners,
Intermediate level Students. These Classes offer hands on training of
watercolor techniques geared toward each students’ personal skill level.
Each session starts with basic instruction such as use of colors,
characteristics of paint, and types of supplies, and progress to painting
techniques using the knowledge gained in each session. Come prepared to
paint. On the 1st day of each class, materials will be provided for class
work but bringing own watercolor supplies for subsequent classes is
recommended. It’s nice if you can draw but you don’t have to have drawing
skills to learn how to paint! Each class holds a maximum of 12 students.

Intermediate Classes Start on Sunday, November 2, 1:30pm – 2:45pm. $70
