2nd ANNUAL STANDING ROCK INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM & VIDEO FESTIVAL. SATURDAY, JANUARY 22nd, 2005 8pm at THE KENT STAGE, 175 E. MAIN ST., KENT, OHIO.
The Standing Rock International Short Film and Video Festival is now available on DVD. $10.00 plus $2.00 shipping in the U.S. Due to space and time constraints, we couldn't fit the entire festival on the DVD. But we feel we've got a smashing good representation here that clocks in at 1 hour 27 minutes. Lots of animation. Lots of cool music. A good amount of humor. This compilation is for the folks who couldn't make it out to Kent during the great January Blizzard of 2005. The first 50 orders will receive a complimentary program from the festival. Thank you again to all the great filmmakers who made this possible.
About 180 people showed up at the festival despite one of the worst snowstorms in recent history. Thanks to everyone for supporting Independent Film! This year's festival was full of outstanding entries. We wish the best to all the filmmakers and hope to see more work next year.
Ward Howarth for winning The
People's Choice Award at the Festival. His film, "Storm
in a Bottle" took top honors out of 23 other films. Telling the
story through narration and black & white cinematography, Ward captured
the intensity of a young couple struggling to keep it together in good
times and bad. Set to a haunting score, this film resonates long after
the last image disappears.
